What is personal data

Under data protection legislation (EU Reg. 679/2016 “GDPR” and Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 as amended), personal data means “any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person («data subject»); an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person” (Art. 4 GDPR).

Your rights

Data protection legislation guarantees every natural person certain rights that can be exercised against those who process their personal data. These include: the right of access, rectification and erasure of personal data, as well as the right to object to processing (Arts. 15 et seq. GDPR).
